• SPIRITUALITY’

Marianist spirituality is based on the mystery of the incarnation: we follow Jesus Christ, Son of God, become son of Mary to save all humanity.

We live a Marian spirituality. For our Founder “the spirit of the Institute is the interior spirit”, “the spirit of Mary.” And in order to live from this spirit, we seek to grow constantly in the spirit of faith and mental prayer, in humility and simplicity, in the family spirit and in the “apostolic zeal” so dear to our Foundress. This is what characterizes us. (Rule of Life I.9)

We make an “alliance with Mary,” sealed with a specific vow: the vow of stability. By this vow we commit ourselves permanently and irrevocably to the service of Mary and we promise to work to make her known, loved and served, thus prolonging her maternal mission of engendering, forming and accompanying people in the life of faith.

We entrust ourselves to her maternal care so that she may form us in the likeness of her Son and, like the servants of Cana, we welcome her words: “Do whatever He tells you.” (RL I.8)
