Renewal in the community of Agen

The renewed community of Agen is a dream come true. This new stage is marked by the richness of diversity, bringing together sisters from France, Togo, Ivory Coast, and Korea. It is called to be a visible sign of universal fraternity, a small reflection of the world we long for. Our vocation is intercultural, intentionally creating something new where encounter enriches and transforms everyone.

Under the guidance of the General Government, the community began its journey on October 15, 2025. Sister Susanna Kim, Superior General, traveled to Agen for its official establishment and encouraged the sisters to live “clothed in tenderness and compassion,” fostering an environment where each one truly feels welcomed and at home. In the house where Mother Adele once lived, the words of the Letter to the Ephesians resound strongly: “So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones and members of the household of God” (Eph 2:19).

We are grateful for the warm welcome we received from the Bishop of Agen, Monsignor Alexandre de Bucy.
